'Transformers' will get Imax re-release
Vital and Imax are re-delivering "Transformers: Dark from the Moon" for any two-week run beginning August. 26 at 246 domestic Imax locations.The latest title to find the Imax treatment is going to be Warner Bros.' 2D thriller "Contagion," which bows on Sept. 9."Dark from the Moon," the 3rd "Transformers" installment (and first in three dimensional), released day-and-date worldwide on June 29, becoming Par's first-ever pic to earn $1 billion in the worldwide B.O., which almost $60 million originates from Imax theaters.Throughout the Imax re-run, "Dark from the Moon" will have concurrently with existing Imax game titles, "Final Destination 5" and "Harry Potter and also the Deathly Hallows: Part 2."This is not the very first Componen-Imax stunt accomplished for "Dark from the Moon": In order to boost three dimensional interest, the studio launched "Transformers" in early stages June 28 in three dimensional and Imax for exclusive 9 p.m. tests.
