ABC Family prepares to order Sherman-Palladino pilot
ABC Household is planning to provide an airplane pilot order to "Strut" from author Amy Sherman-Palladino. Sherman-Palladino, who had been the creative pressure behind the longtime dramedy "Gilmore Women," was requested in the future aboard and provide the show a refreshening after network executives felt the initial pilot needed retooling. Sherman-Palladino will professional produce with Anna Mastro, Charlie Stratton and Norman Buckley. Show concentrates on a Vegas showgirl who unknowingly will get married to some Texan and turns into a senior high school instructor for any misfit drill team. Pilot, that was written on spec by Lamar Damon, Norman Buckley and Anna Mastro, received a cast-contigent order this past year but was not able to cast the stars it had wished to obtain.
